I made a 4:51 video…

It worked.
I made a 4:27 video…

It worked again.
Should YOU make 4-5 minute videos?
Let me explain…
There is a certain PSYCHOLOGY going on…
When you see a:
30:00 video
10:00 video
4:30 video
If you’re stepping in the car for a long drive…
You might pick the 30-minute video.
If you’re about to go to sleep,
You may pick the 4:30 video.
BUT…
Most times in the day,
You’d pick the shorter video.
This is why I’ve seen my own 3:30 – 6:30 videos
Get MUCH HIGHER click-through rates π

BUT…
There’s more.
If you know the person,
And found their previous videos valuable,
You are more likely to watch their longer video.
THE OPPOSITE, is also true.
Whether you have
100 subs
1,000 subs
10,000 subs
Most people don’t know you yet.
And MOST of your views come FROM “new viewers” (NOT “returning viewers”) π

Thus, it makes sens to MAKE shorter videos,
To GET more RETURNING viewers.
Why?
Because returning viewers (almost ALWAYS) have:
Higher Click Through Rates.
Higher Average View Durations π

It’s SO much easier to get 40%+ AVP on a 4-minute video than on an 8-minute video
Why does this matter?
Can’t a video blow up with only 25% AVP on an 8-minute video?
The honest answer? I don’t know.
But based on my analytics of 20M+ impressions…
It’s both EASIER & MORE FUN to make a 4:30 video than it is to make an 8:00 one.
And those 4-minute videos? The blew up…
My advice? π
1. Experiment and upload 4:01 – 4:59 videos for some time.
2. Look at your data.
3. Decide.
But don’t JUST decide based on view counts.
Making this video took me 2 hours π

Which may raise the question in you…
How do I make a 40%+ AVP video every day EFFORTLESSLY?
