I was trying to find my old LinkedIn post on Google…
I was surprised when I saw this.
Google just gave me this.
Out of “nowhere”.
At least that’s what I thought initially…
Until I looked further.
I did some research.
Only to find out that they gave this to me because I’m so spesjul.
Just google your own name to see if you’re spesjul too.
If not…
But you do want it…
Reply “Spesjul” to this email & I’ll share a free document how you can get it too.
Anyways…
Does this widget thingy matter?
Well… It looks fancy.
And people care about fancy things.
So as long as people care about fancy stuff this can be useful.
People click on what they recognize.
They trust what Google highlights.
Is it clever? Nope.
Is it reality? Absolutely.
The question isn’t whether it matters…
The question is how you’ll leverage it.
Otherwise, it’s just there for the ego.
And the ego loves this spesjul banner, doesn’t it?
The use cases for me?
Well… 1 of them is for applicants.
When I’m hiring
A lot of applicants search for my name.
And now they think I’m spesjul when they Google me.
I assume this will increase application rate % (how many apply for the job).
The same with:
Clients who google me – conversion rate
Podcast hosts who google me – booking rate
Dates who google me – smash rate
Talking about a different smash rate…
