I uploaded 300 videos in 6 months.
My average view duration tanked…but one small change fixed it 👀
Your average view percentage drops the less specific your titles, thumbnails, and videos are.
The fix?
→ Stick to one sub-niche per channel.
→ Or, create separate channels for different interests.
Why?
Because the more similar your content, the more likely subscribers are to watch the next video and watch longer.
Example:
You’ve got two channels:
One about Labradors, one about Labrador puppies. Both have 500 subs.
You post a video on “How to stop your Labrador puppy from barking.”
Which channel do you think gets higher watch time?
Think about it my friend.
After all…watch time wins.
