Have you ever thought about the autoplay preview?
YouTube now autoplays the first few seconds of your video before someone even clicks.
That changes everything.
Here’s what Jimmy Donaldson said:
“I think of the first frame as the new thumbnail…
People often don’t even see the thumbnail anymore.
The autoplay starts instantly, so I have to visually convince them to watch.”
Think about that.
Viewers might not even read your title or see your thumbnail.
They hear and see your intro first.
So…
Treat your first 5 seconds like they are the thumbnail.
Hook them with motion. Sound. Energy. Curiosity.
